Drugs seized at Comboyne

DRUGS worth an estimated $355,000 and firearms were seized during a raid on a Comboyne property last Wednesday.

Following investigations, police from Mid North Coast Local Area Command’s Target Action Group executed a search warrant at the property on Innes View Road.

During the warrant, police allegedly located and seized 142 mature cannabis plants, an amount of cannabis leaf, a shortened .22 calibre rifle and other property.

The occupants, a 51-year-old man and an 18-year-old man, were arrested at the property and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station.

The 18-year-old man was charged with possess shortened firearm, possess ammunition without a licence, not keep firearm safely, cultivate prohibited plant and possess prohibited drug. He was bail refused to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court last Thursday.

The 51-year-old man was charged with cultivate prohibited drug. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on 15 March.
