New youth jobs program initiative

30 Sep, 2009 10:32 AM
MID Coast Youth Career Services will be running a new program in Camden Haven on Tuesday 27th October 2009.

This program is a great opportunity for young people to gain valuable job interview experience as well as the possibility of getting employment. It is also a great opportunity for employers to meet potential employees as well as giving young people the experience of having a job interview. At the moment there are not as many jobs available so it makes it even harder for young people to gain experience and confidence in the area of applying for jobs.

If you are looking at recruiting new staff over the next 6 months, please consider taking part in “Step Into Your Future”. Mid Coast Youth Career Services will be setting up a job board displaying employment opportunities.

They are interested in hearing from employers with any employment opportunities - fulltime, part-time, casual, apprenticeships, traineeships, school based apprenticeships, school based traineeships. Even if you don’t have an actual position, but would like to explore possible candidates for the future you are welcome to participate.

If you would like further details please contact Carolyn Ellis at Mid Coast Youth Career Services on 6583 5910 (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) or 6562 5314 (Wednesday).

Alternatively she can be contacted on 0448 877 953 or via email carolyn.ellis@mcycs.com.au.

Mid Coast Youth Career Services (MCYCS) is a Local Community Partnership (LCP) funded by the Australian Government’s Career Advice Australia initiative. Its programs assist young people 13 to 19 years, in making a successful transition through school and into further education, training and employment.
