Well performed 'golden oldies'

17 Feb, 2010 10:30 AM
MEMBERS of the Camden Haven Dragons joined other clubs from NSW to compete in Melbourne at the Victorian Chinese New Year 2010 Festival, in the Great Grand Dragons mixed 10, category ( 60 years and over).

Whilst the competition was fierce, paddlers from NSW formed composite teams, under the banner of the “Waratahs” and after only one practice session, were very competitive with the other crews, gaining a second place in the category. Teams were also entered in the Grand Masters category, a younger age group, and missed out on a minor place by only one hundredth of a second. Not bad for a bunch of oldies.

Camden Haven Dragon Boat Club is always looking for new members and if you are interested in having a try out, you can ring Lyn on 6559.9977.
