Mick Eggins started the Camden Haven Boxing Team Inc at the Kendall Show Ground in September 2011 to give kids and young adults a place to go to learn health, fitness and boxing. Mick and his volunteer coaches also instil comaraderie, discipline, team work, ownership and responsibility into the participants. Since the team started, it has grown from just a couple, to 30 participants on training nights. This has seen the team needing bigger training area and more training equipment. The minimal fee paid by participants goes into the hire of the training area and to purchase equipment. The Camden Haven Boxing Team Inc is a non profit organisation. The shed they currently use for training is also utilised for other acitvities therefore equipment needs to be moved out and stored until the shed becomes available again.

The Boxing team is currently organising a Trivia Night on the 24th March at the Kendall Services and Citizens Club. This will raise funds to help with more equipment and hopefully one day their own shed. The team trains four nights a week at a shed in the Kendall Showground with between 20 to 30 male and female members each night ranging from ages 11 years and up.
As a promotional opportunity for local businesses and to help the team, Camden Haven Boxing team is seeking donations in the way of gift vouchers, services or merchandise that can be used as prizes or raffles on the night. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Any sponsorships will be recognised on the night.
