THE North Haven Bowling Club Anglers Fishing Club will be hosting its 10th annual Camden Haven Family Fishing Classic this Easter week-end. This is an open invitation for all members of the community as well as any holiday makers to participate. Fishing will commence at 6am on Good Friday and all fish for weighing are to be in the allocated roped off area at the North Haven Bowling Club by 1pm on Easter Sunday.
Entry Tickets are $5 for adults and $2.50 for juniors under 16 and will be on sale until 12 noon Easter Saturday at Dunbogan Boatshed, Shell Service Station at Laurieton, North Haven Bait and Tackle and North Haven Bowling Club.
There will 16 x $50 cash prizes for nominated largest of species, these being (with minimum sizes), Bonito 30cms, Bream 25cms, Drummer 30cms, Flathead 36cms, Garfish 25cms – measured from nose to tail, Kingfish 65cms, Leatherjackets 25cms, Luderick 27cms, Morwong 30cms, Mullet 25cms, Mulloway 45cms, Pearl Perch 30cms, Snapper 30cms, Tailor 30cms, Teraglin 38cms and Whiting 27cms.
There will be a special juniors section with 6 x $25 cash prizes plus trophy for the following species: Bream, Flathead, Garfish, Luderick, Mullet and Whiting. Juniors can enter all other species as well in the open category.
There will be a special one only prize of $100 for any other of largest non nominated legal fish caught and presented.
There will be 2 x $100 lucky angler prizes for weighing a fish along with 10 x $10 prizes for all ticket holders, who have to be present to collect prizes.
Refreshments will be available at the weigh-in along with steak sandwiches at $2.50, rissole and sausage sandwiches at $1.50 each. Come all and enjoy the fishing.
