Hotly contested motocross series

08 Feb, 2012 09:01 AM
THE postponed first round of the North Coast Motocross Championship is being held this weekend, February 11 and 12 at the Hastings Valley Motorcycle Raceway.

Hastings Valley Motor Cycle Club president, Stewart Steel said recent wet weather forced organisers to postpone the event last weekend.

“Unfortunately the wet weather leading up to last weekend, prevented us from getting machines on the track, to groom it for racing,” Mr Steel said.

“The North Coast Motocross Series is a hotly contested four-round series, held at various tracks on the North Coast, and attracts riders from all over NSW and Southern Qld.

“Combined with recent track improvements, there will be some spectacular racing on both days,” he said.

Junior riders (under 16) will be hitting the track on Saturday and Seniors will race on Sunday.

Racing gets underway at Hastings Valley Motorcycle Raceway, at Pacific Parkway, Cowarra, at 9am both days, and continues late in the afternoon.

Admission is free for spectators and the club canteen will be in operation both days.

For some great motor racing action, get out to the Hastings Valley Motorcycle raceway.
