THE Kendall Blues Rugby League Football Club is pleased to anounce the appointment of Nick Knox as its Coach for the 2010 season.
Nick brings with him experience from playing in the Hastings League competition where he tasted Premiership success as well as playing in the Group 3 competition. He has also previously played in the NSW Country side that played Queensland Country in 2008 as part of Centenary celebrations. Nick’s Dad Ray has also been involved with the Kendall club as a coach in the early eighties.
Garry and Annette Smith continue as President and Treasurer with Vicky Barber returning as Secretary, John Barr as Senior Vice President and we welcome Darrell Ainsworth to the committee as Junior Vice President as well as our regular hardworking Committee members.
The club is pleased to once again have the Kendall Services and Citizens Club as its major sponsor and Serene Lodge Racing also on board as a jumper sponsor.
“We can always use more sponsorship so please let us know if you are interested in lending your support” said president Garry Smith.
“We are also celebrating our 30th Anniversary this year as well as 25 years since our first Grand Final win. We are looking at having a reunion of past players, committee members and supporters on the June long weekend and will let everyone know details as they are finalised”.
The first training session for the Blues will be Thursday 4th February at 6.30pm at the Showground. All players and officials are welcome to come along with a BBQ to be held after.
“We look forward to a successful year and can’t wait for the competition to get started,” said the president.
