NHBC SOCIAL GOLF
Last Tuesday by invitation we joined with the LUSC Ladies Social Golf Club in a mixed Canadian Forsome. This was part of the Week of Golf & Bowls celebrating the amalgamation of the LUSC with the Golf Club. A great time was had by all with a highlight being a hole in one by our member Peter Raschke. This was on the 184 metre par three 15th and was a truly great shot. The location of the ball eluded them until someone looked in the hole!

Golf Club
We had seven golfers on Sunday on a warm morning with the golf course playing and looking great. The winner for the day was Killer from Paula and Kylie. CHAFT Shirts went to Bill and Dan. Longest drive on the 8th went to Paula and Dan, 2nd shot on the 4th to Killer and NTP on the 9th to Neville.
The Happy Gilmore award was shared by Bill and Dan as can be seen from their scores too much punters party cheer we think. Bill had to shout when his drive on the 5th didn’t make the ladies tee and his second shot only just made it with the help of the trees.
The next social game at Kew will be Sunday November 29 at 6.30pm.

Sunday morning saw a good turnout of players for the last round of the club championships. Ruddo cleaned up all the major awards in A grade this year (well done Mark) which in B grade Rod and Bob started the last round even but Bob was too good on the day to be B grade champion. Congratulations Bob. There was a single stableford played as well on Sunday with some quality golf witnessed. Pepe was on fire but he couldn’t get out of the bunkers on 2 holes. Billy and Ray were whinging early about the handicapper but by the last they were very quiet with Ray winning with a massive 35 points and Billy second with 34 points, Pepe, Les and Chang cleaned up the balls in A grade while Ray nearly aced the 10th to take home the Eaglenest.
Next Sunday there will be a barbeque after golf to talk bout the Christmas Party which is on December 20.
