KSCC Social Golf
Sunday May 30, saw 11 die-hard Kendall socialites contest a Canadian Foursomes over 9 holes on the ice coverd Royal Kew course.
The event caused some confusion on the 1st tee with some golfers having to hit both their ball and their partners ball off the tee due to some air swings courtesy of Crissy P, Tim R and Kylie D.
Play was very slow over the first two holes, however after some heat from the sun and some alcohol from the beer cart everyone seemed to get a bit quicker.
Crissy P's third shot on the 2nd turned her 7 iron into the shape of a banana courtesy off a tree. Snag's 2nd shot on the 4th saw him aggravate an old rib injury due to an air swing. The Pom's tee shot off the 5th tee saw him creating a record by skipping his ball seven times before sinking to the bottom of the dam.
On the 7th hole Marshall thought his luck had changed when he found a little pussy. The 8th hole provided some entertainment with just about everyone pulling a drive out of the cupboard finally giving their partner a nice second shot.
After a lot of deliberation, over a few more schooners the winners were Pommy Paul, Darryl Davey and Ray Duncan with a score of 32, second with a score of 34 were Phill and Kylie Dykes. NAGA's went to Snag's and Crissy Plater. Must also mention the last outing May 16, what a roll-up for the Terry Breen Memorial Day. Great golf was played and a great BBQ back at Kendall Services Club. Special thanks to Chrissy and Kylie for cooking the beautiful BBQ and also special thanks to Kylie's Kitchen for the delicious salad. Also a big thanks to Kendall Services Club for the refreshments and their all-round support, many thanks.
Last but not least the new shirts are on the way and we have decided not to buy pink shirts for the NAGA prize but to buy a couple of Parra shirts instead.
Next spine tingling encounter is June 13, 7am tee off for a single stroke 3-stick event. Be there or be square.
The Stump!

LUSC Snooker
Tuesday night snooker and yet again "The Kunze" exerted his authority this time, it was Byron Wood who went down to this persistent champion. A game that showed that it's the simple things in a game that bring most players undone and "The Kunze" tries to play a perfect game. The minor final GP Palmer loves to exert his power. Ron Howell has seen power in white T shirts when he cleaned Charlies tables. He didn't get in their way then and he doesn't stand in front of power, now Graham showed power and the old fox saved it for Thursday night. Speaking of Thursday the major final and Mal Pye showed how to get up your nose when he played "The Kunze" but the armour in Glens box showed a couple of slight cracks. Mal might look pretty placid but being nice doesn't win snooker games. He took the right options and when luck was needed he made it work for him. Now if that doesn't get up your nose nothing will. Glen Kunze showed emotion in this game and Mal Pye might need more luck next time they meet. Minor final - Norm Page played a banger of a game with Brian Lenard but Brian missed out in a black ball finish. Son of Harold was elated when he beat Uncle Jim in their 2nd Rd match "Two Jimbo's please" first win in 10 years mate (better get schooners) some people will do anything for attention but when the elastic snapped in one players track pants the Boss didn't waste any time getting things back in order. More raffle ticket sellers are needed, come on fellas if Lady Thea can walk down there you can surely drive down. 1 1/2 hours one Friday night. Come play with us Tuesday and Thursday's 6.30pm sharp.
Two Balls.
Bonny Hills Beach Hotel
Social Golf Club
Cold early morning conditions, plus a "Big" social night for "some" on Saturday night kept our numbers down at Wauchope on Sunday morning. However those who did compete in a Single Stableford event thoroughly enjoyed themselves with Carol Slater taking out the money with 24 points, closely followed by Tony Carroll on 23. Mens L/D was won by Tony Carroll with an awesome drive down the 17th and Carol Slater won the ladies L/D. Leroy Palmer won the N/P on the 18th. Congratulations to you all!
Don't forget next Sunday guys, bus leaves the hotel sharp 6.30am for Bulladelah! 18 holes of golf, lunch, a few drinks and great camaraderie on the coach, all this for $30 ph! There are still a few seats vacant on the coach, so anyone who wants a good day out, wether you'r ea golfer or not, put your name up on the notice board, so we can cater for you. Look forward to seeing you! The next game played at Wauchope is on June 13, 6.30 to 7.30am tee off time. See you all there.

Firstly we had our annual BBQ on Sunday May 23, when we had 113 members attend and those that didn't come along missed out on a great day. I would like to thank the chefs, Eric Didlick, Peter Loveday, Buck Bowden, and their helpers and the ladies that helped with the serving of the veggies. The steak was top class as were the sausages cooked to perfection. The sweets were delicious also and I would like to thank the LUSC Club for their service in supplying and setting of the extras, that made it a wonderful lunch, I would recommend the LUSC organisation to anyone having a reception. There were plenty of raffle prizes, 50 meat and vegetable trays, and 10 lots of varied chocolates. I thank Betty for her selection of the same and Robbo's Meats.
