The quartet visited the hospital’s paediatric ward and short-stay surgical unit, meeting with patients and staff and presenting gift bags to the children.
Some of the region’s older residents also enjoyed a few moments with the players, including Taree’s Roger Monck who was celebrating his 90th birthday, and West Haven resident Karen Warburton.
During the visit, the players also handed over a cheque for $5,000 to the Nurse Unit Manager of the paediatric unit, Cheryl Nolte.
The former players were in town to conduct a coaching clinic for the Port Macquarie Sharks Junior Football Club.
