At 9.15pm Wednesday April 18 police stopped a 46-year-old driver on the Pacific Highway at Kew for traffic offences. Checks revealed the registration of his vehicle was cancelled and the driver’s license suspended. He was issued with traffic infringement notices.
A 48-year-old North Haven man will appear in court to answer charges of driving under the influence of alcohol. At 6pm Thursday April 19 the man was stopped by police while driving his white Ford Courier ute on Bold Street Laurieton. Police allege the man failed a breath test and was later tested at the police station before being charged with mid range drink driving.
A minor two-car accident occurred at 6pm Wednesday April 18 at the corner of Bago Road and the Pacific Highway, Herons Creek. Police allege that a red Holden Commodore was stopped at the intersection waiting to turn right into the south-bound lane. A silver Toyota Corolla collided with the back of the red car. The driver of the silver car was issued with a traffic infringement notice for negligent driving.
Police believe the same group of males is responsible for two incidents at the Laurieton Marina. At 10.30pm Saturday April 14 the four youths attempted to gain entry to a bus/motor home parked at the marina. Two days later a car nearby was spray painted. Police are appealing for witnesses to the incidents.
Police are analyzing forensic evidence and CCTV footage in the investigation of a break and enter at a licensed premises on Ocean Drive Lake Cathie. The break in occurred between 7.30pm Sunday April 15 and 9am Monday April 16. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
A home in Pioneer Street was attacked by vandals between 5pm Saturday April 21 and 4.45pm Sunday April 22. A window and the mailbox were smashed. Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the attack.
A red and black Honda motorcycle was damaged when it was knocked over while parked in Aqua Crescent Lake Cathie between 3pm and 3.30pm Sunday April 22. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Police arrested a 31-year-old North Haven man at 7pm Friday April 20. Police allege the man attended a business in Bold Street Laurieton and had an argument with his former partner who worked there. It’s alleged he grabbed the woman and police were called to attend. Statements were taken and the man was charged with assault and breaching the conditions of an apprehended violence order.
A wallet was found at North Haven Beach car park at 11.45am Thursday April 19. The owner is asked to contact Laurieton Police to claim the wallet.
The lawn of a home in Bartlett Street was poisoned by persons unknown some time between January 30 and April 13.
An engagement ring was lost some time between 10.30am Wednesday April 11 and 10.30am Saturday April 14. If found, please contact police who will return it to the owner.
At 2.50pm Saturday April 14 police stopped a red Kia being driven on the Pacific Highway at Herons Creek. The vehicle was unregistered and driven by a 35-year-old male whose driver’s license was suspended. He was issued with a number of traffic infringement notices.
