The Port Macquarie lawn mowing contractor is the Citizens Electoral Council (CEC) candidate for Lyne.
A belief there was something wrong with Australia and the world led Mr Gough to the political party.
Mr Gough said he found the party had real policies which would work for the common good of all mankind. They put people before money.
Michael is a married father of two who has lived in Port Macquarie for 18 years.
With the next GFC crisis nearing, rather than stealing people's deposits "bail-in" as is being pushed by the BIS and G20, the CEC is calling for;
A complete separation of commercial banking away from investment banking along the lines of America's 1933-1999 Glass-Steagall Act;
A government bank to direct public credit to revive our productive industries; and
Major infrastructure projects as a science driver to reindustrialise the economy.
This forces the banks to choose to be either a commercial or an investment bank. Productive functions will be federally protected and insured while other worthless speculative activities are left out to dry.
The CEC has legislation ready for a Commonwealth National Credit Bank, through which the government can direct public credit in the form of low-interest loans for long term investment in physical infrastructure and productive industries that are the foundation of any economy.
We must build the future through great infrastructure. Millions of productive jobs will be created through infrastructure construction alone, and such projects will stimulate productive industries creating millions more jobs. Great water projects to drought and flood proof Australia, making us a great food bowl of the world; the Australian Ring Rail using maglev high speed technology; fast shipping into Asia; cutting edge nuclear power technology and conquering space
The CEC's intention is to completely transform the economy, gearing it around production and the future.
A shift like this opens up a world of opportunities for our youth. With CEC infrastructure projects many of our youth will be trained and employed as productive industries come on line.
Our schools will become the basis for developing thinkers and a highly skilled workforce.
Our children are the future so their safety on buses or otherwise has to be paramount. A productive economy will afford road improvement and more buses with seat beats to alleviate safety concerns.
The Camden Haven is a lovely place to visit. A nation working creates the climate for tourism and, tourism attractions and facilities. A working society will need a holiday.
The productivity increases under the CEC's policies will raise the tax revenue required to maintain but more importantly upgrade all infrastructure in the region.
Federal government's responsibility is the "common wealth" of the entire nation. It should be able to interact directly with local governments which are the front line to the people in their respective areas.
Instead of jeopardizing farm land mining coal seam gas, Australia must adopt an up shift to nuclear power to ramp up our base load power production for a secure and growing future economy.
