THE Good Life In Kendall festival will on again this Saturday, August 18.
Following the enormous success of The Good Life last year, organisers are looking forward to staging another great day out for locals and visitors.
This event, held in conjunction with the Camden Haven PAH&I Society, is now an integral part of Kendall culture.
Organisers recently completed the Capturing Kendall and Camden Haven Photographic Competition.
This event was larger and more successful than previously and the committee is confident of the long-term future in showcasing photography in the Camden Haven.
Resilience and sustainability are vital in country communities this festival showcases the activities of residents and community groups that reflect the independent self confidence that makes Kendall and immediate surrounding community residents very proud.
The Good Life in Kendall provides opportunities for people to learn specific skills such as needlework, crafts and quilting. Plus, for those with some extra land, alpacas and Dexter cattle will be on show. There will also be plant demonstrations by the Kendall Gardeners Group.
As a special attraction Camden Haven High School Agriculture students will have their animal nursery for the littlies and students will be active doing face painting.
There will be a wide range of food and drinks available and the Camden Haven Show Society’s new canteen will be in operation, providing Devonshire teas and varied hot food.
There will be many other stalls, with home produce including plants, fruit, vegetables, jams and preserves. CWA will of course have their first class lamingtons for sale. There will also be exhibitors able to demonstrate health, wellbeing and skin care products, all chemical free and produced locally.
