THE Kew Visitor Information Centre has been given the go-ahead to proceed pending a March deadline for a business plan, according to Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce president Garry Carpenter.
“We can start operating as soon as we are ready,” he told the Courier.
The chamber had hoped to use the former Steaks on Kew site but has been told that another developer has plans for that site.
Mr Carpenter said he had a good list of volunteers ready to work at the centre and bring it back to being an informative gateway to the Mid North Coast, with easy access and parking for visitors travelling in all manner of vehicles.
