But the Rural Fire Service warned residents to expect smoke over the Camden Haven for the next few days.
Inspector Guy Duckworth said the fire, which started on Thursday afternoon near McGilvray Road, has burnt more than 400 hectares.
He said it was contained by brigades prior to the late weekend showers.
"The rain's certainly helped to dampen things down in terms of easing those issues for us," Inspector Duckworth said.
"We're in the process of downgrading to patrol status for our brigades."
Containment lines are expected to hold as scattered showers continue along the coast over the next few days.
Weatherzone said the showers will move inland on Monday afternoon, before returning to the coastal fringe overnight and into Tuesday morning.
