Looking for a finals berth

AFTER a few solid wins in a row, the Camden Haven men’s hockey team went down 2-1 in a nail biting game against  Port City on Saturday.

Camden Haven played one man short all game and strong attacking midfielder, Ian Anquetil, had some great shots on goal and assisted the team in winning a number of unconverted short corners.

Goal Keeper, Tim Palmer’s, cat-like reflexes helped to keep the opposition scoreless in the first half.

Port City scored a controversial goal that had the goal keeper writhing with the decision. The team dug deep and replied with a great field goal by Blake Hudson. The backs started to tire and a lapse in concentration was capitalised on by Port City to take the game.

A win in the next game at 12.30pm this Saturday should ensure a finals berth for the LUSC sponsored Camden Haven team.
