The Ian Barbato Memorial Golf Day is on Sunday, August 3 at the Kew Country Club and there is a limit on the number of people who can play.
The day commemorates the late Mr Barbato's life in the Camden Haven. The regular golfer, club-goer and restaurateur died suddenly in August 2004.
For the past nine years good, bad and average golfers have packed the Kew course, many coming from as far away as Sydney.
The event consists of a four-man ambrose competition. Players can either make up their own team of four, or register as an individual and be placed in a team.
The winning team will once again nominate their best contributor to collect the much sought-after red jacket, won last year by Mick Monaghan.
There will be novelty holes, prizes a large raffle.
The $30 cost includes green fees and a cooked breakfast.
All money raised will be donated to the Kendall Riding for the Disabled Association. More than $13,000 has been raised from past events.
Bookings can be made at Kew Country Club pro shop on 6559 4596.
