WHAT'S the wager on a winner? A five-kilometre run straight up North Brother Mountain after a few months of beers and new shoes that have never been worn? Or, a five-kilometre run straight up North Brother Mountain by a pregnant woman on a mission to avenge a prior defeat?

Well, the King of the Mountain challenge has been laid down once again - Team Robert v Team Kristie.
This year, however, LUSC secretary-manager Robert Dwyer has been living the high life with the knowledge that his opponent, Kristie Neilson, has added weight to carry in the form of her pregnancy.
"Let's face it. I'm in peak condition. Kristie's carrying a bit of extra weight. It's as simple as that," Robert said.
Last year the athletic rivals challenged each other to raise money for cystic fibrosis research.
Kristie has lost one sister to cystic fibrosis and another sister is still living with the disease. They raised $4500.
This year, they hope to raise $10,000.
While Robert is resting on his laurels, however, Kristie has been perusing the initial "challenge contract" and is confident that the "unforeseen circumstances clause" may come into effect.
"I may be pregnant, but I'm still pushing to win. I've got something up my sleeve," she said.

Anyone entering the King of the Mountain can also donate to CF as part of their registration, and purchase a limited edition Team Kristie or Team Robert t-shirt.
The King of the Mountain is on Sunday, August 17. Entries are open and you can register at chslsc.com.
Prizes are awarded to the winners, largest team, best dressed team and age group winners.
There will also be the chance to win a family holiday to the Gold Coast with passes to Sea World, Movie World and Whitewater World.
For the record, don't think you have to run it. Plenty of people walk, push strollers or piggy back the kids. It's just all about supporting a great cause.
