Hosted by the Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce the Cup will be raced at the Port Macquarie Racecourse on Saturday August 30.
This year the chamber and sponsors will support two great causes, the Beach2Beach Riverwalk and the Schools to Schools shared pathway projects.
"All profit from the day will be shared equally by these two groups," said chamber president Garry Carpenter.
"We offer a great day at the race track in Port Macquarie starting with free bus from many locations around Laurieton, Dunbogan, Kendall, Bonny Hills and Lake Cathie. Entry into the Race track, race book, lunch supplied by Oasis by the River and return bus trip.
"Tickets are $45 per head and we think this is brilliant value for the Camden Haven's own special race day. By attending you are also directly supporting both Shared Pathway causes."
Major sponsors supporting the six-race program are: Laurieton United Services Club who sponsor the main race The Camden Haven Cup; there is also very generous community support from North Haven Bowling Club, Wiggly Tail Butchers, Camvet, Bonny Hills Tavern and Raine and Horne Laurieton all supporting the race day and donating towards the shared pathways cause.
Of course there will be a chance for the fashionistas at the track with the Lady's Day Fashions in the Field. The best dressed folk will have a chance to win $150 cash prize in three categories, The Belle of Camden Haven, Best Dressed Country Squire and Best Couple.
"The Chamber thanks One Agency Real Estate North Haven, Camden Haven Travel and Laurieton Hotel for again donating sponsorships for these fun events," said event organiser Karen Pini.
"Emma Nash our current Miss Showgirl and her fellow showgirl contestants will be helping out on the day with our Fashion in the Field event and other activities planner for the fundraiser."
Camden Haven Cup event tickets go on sale in August and you can contact Karen Pini on 6559 9068 to book.
Tickets are limited to 200 for the private function room and this year the chamber is as many people as possible to support the Camden Haven Cup to maximise profits for the pathway projects.
So, by having a great day at the track, the Camden Haven will see concrete on the ground which will mean great safety, well being, access and unification for the whole community.
