FIFTY large-scale sculptures, manufactured in fibreglass and hand-painted and decorated by celebrity artists, professional artists and community groups, now dot our landscape. Click here for the map.
The project concept, Hello Koalas, was launched in 2013. The public art project engages artists, community and business sponsors, government and tourism.
It travels from the mountains of Comboyne through the Wauchope and down to the sea at Port Macquarie to create an official Hello Koalas Public Art Sculpture Trail. Of course it doesn't end in Port Macquarie as Bonny Hills and Laurieton also house a koala or two!
The sculptures will be on display until December 2015 and provide the perfect incentive to explore all corners of our magnificent region.
If you snap a photo of yourself with any other of the sculptures across the region, use #hellokoalas and we'll add your pic to our gallery.
