On arrival to the picturesque Rainbow Beach on Saturday morning competitors were greeted by light offshore winds with 2 to 3 ft contestable waves. A record 90 competitors, 42 heats in 10 different age and board divisions. By mid-morning the wind had swung to the NE producing challenging conditions for all competitors.

Sunday was finals day and once again the NE wind had arrived early continuing to make conditions rather challenging however in the true spirit of the Mid North Coast Girls Surf Classic the girls and women took to the waves with sheer style and grace.

Local surfer girls dominated in all 10 divisions indicating that the standard of surfer girls emerging on the Mid North Coast are a force to be reckoned with in the sport of surfing.
