The Camden Haven show girl has been part of the show for many years now and is something the committee would like to encourage young woman/teens to become involved in.
This year there are three age sections 12 - under 15yrs, 15 - under 18yrs and 18yrs and over.
This event is to help young women to gain confidence in being part of a community, to become a role model and to represent the show society and the community at different events.
Being part of this also allows them to meet new people and make new friends. If you would like to be a part of this contact Jill Ramsey on 0403 877 175.
The campdraft will be held on the Saturday afternoon after the grand parade and information about this and other ring events can be found in the ring events schedule or visit the website camdenhavenshow.org.au.
The junior rodeo will be held Saturday night around 6pm, and is an event that will be popular with a lot of people.
There are many sections in this event for many ages starting at under 11’s poddy ride, 11yrs - under 16 junior bareback, under 13 barrel race, 13 - under 18yrs barrel race, under 14 steer ride, 14 - under 18 junior bull ride, 15 and over local steer ride (Hastings residents only) and 18yrs and over jackpot barrel race. Enquiries for this can be made to Ben Lockhart on 0428 615 018. Entries close 4pm Saturday, February 21.
