The quintet has been selected in the North Coast side to compete against the Central Coast team in the inaugural Northern AFL Battle.
The battle is on every year between the 22 best 15-17 year olds in the North Coast and Central Coast sides before Swans Academy coach and former player Michael O'Loughlin, and AFL talent scouts.
Adding to the experience for the boys is the chance to attend the Swans versus Richmond game the night before their match, giving them the chance to watch their heroes and possible future teammates in action.
Consisting of players from Coffs Harbour, Kempsey, Grafton and Port Macquarie, the North Coast side will do battle with the Central Coast side featuring players from Newcastle, Hunter and surrounding regions.
The game is on Saturday, June 27 at Lakeside Oval, next to the majestic SCG, where the boys may one day be playing.
Port Macquarie under 18s coach Craig Carroll said the boys were training well.
"It's a huge kudos for the club, having the boys training really well," he said.
"They're also training under Tim Davis, who's a great coach.
"He's done a lot in the game, set the boys individual running programs and fitness exercises in their own time."
Carroll said the boys were pumped ahead of their trip this weekend.
"They're heading up to Coffs Harbour on Wednesday and then all going down to the Swans game with the team, sitting with Michael O'Loughlin and talent scouts and playing the day after that," he said.
"It's a great experience for them."
