THE Port Macquarie Magpies might just have made the scorers the busiest people at Wayne Richards Park on Saturday with a shellacking of Coffs Harbour Breakers.

The Magpies won 22.17 (149) to 2.0 (12) in a truly dominant performance at their nest.

Kyle Lynch booted nine majors in the match. Hat-tricks went to Troy Kelly and Jordan Lennon.

Brice Hayward kicked two goals and Blake Nelson, Jesse Schmidt, Isaac Brambley, Craig Dicker and Alex Oakes had singles.

The Magpies kept their opposition scoreless in the second and fourth quarters of the game while they booted goals left, right and centre at the other end.

They really put the hammer down in the third quarter, kicking nine goals.

It was the Magpies' eighth win of the season. The second-placed team has lost three matches in 2015.

Sawtell Toormina Saints are the front runners, with six wins from six matches.

The Magpies aren't far behind the Saints in points for. They have kicked 806 and the Saints are on 816.

The killer for the Magpies is points conceded. Port Macquarie has let in 413 points while Sawtell Toormina has seen just 203 go in against them.

The Breakers are behind the Magpies on the table, followed by Macleay Valley Eagles and Grafton Tigers.
