The Boardies need a new coach, football manager and sports trainer as they look to get themselves off the bottom of the Hastings League ladder.

President Craig Taylor has a three-year plan in mind for the person who gets the top job.

Ideally, he would like someone from reserve grade in the Group 3 competition who is interested in a foray into coaching.

"Someone who can attract some quality second grade players to the club," Taylor said.

The club finished at the bottom of the ladder in 2015 after a difficult first season back on the field.

Taylor doesn't expect overnight success, but he predicted a better year for the Boardies in 2016.

The position is open until October.

Meanwhile, the Boarides rewarded their best at the club's presentation night on Saturday at the Fernhill Tavern.

Kliff Foggon took the hat-trick: Forward of the Year, Players' Player and Player of the Year.

Slade Young got best back and Sam Curry was given the coaches award.

Foggon went halves in the Blue and Gold award with Cyril Marchant. The pair was recognised for getting the Boardies going again. The President's award went to Brendan Pateman, and Tim Couch took the Clubman of the Year.

Peter Collins' hard work at the club was recognised with Life Membership of the Boardies.

Taylor said most of the Boardies' core group was interested in lacing up the boots again next season. "There will be some changes, of course," he said.

"We need half a dozen quality players to come in and bolster the club."
