A SEPTIC truck carrying waste down North Brother Mountain rolled shortly before midday today.
Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene. The driver of the truck was treated for minor injuries at the scene and transported to hospital.
Police closed Captain Cook-Bicentennial Drive while fire crews and a tow truck attempted to right the vehicle.
The load, while in tact, had to be pumped into another septic truck to lighten the load of the stricken vehicle.
Several attempts have been made this afternoon to clear the scene. Currently the road is closed and police do not expect it to be open to traffic anytime soon.
