He spoke at length with business owners on the local economy and upcoming opportunities.
Diamond Waters Treehouses welcomed the minister who admired the timber work by local carpenter Paul Cullen in the luxury treehouse accommodation.
"My family's business in Queanbeyan is in doors and windows, so that's why I'm looking so closely," Mr Barilaro said when closely inspecting the joinery.
The local accommodation provider, established by Peter Johnson and Kerry McFadyen, currently boast the title of being the top-rated accommodation facility - in the world - on TripAdvisor.
"It's true, we have never had a point scored against us," Mr Johnson said.
There are more quirky accommodation choices being designed at the moment for the treehouse retreat, always keeping to the environmentally friendly ethos.
The Camden Haven's newest supermarket, Bonny Hills Friendly Grocer, welcomed the minister also on Friday. The Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce president Lee Dixon and secretary Julie Krige, owner of the grocer, sat down to talk about enhancing future opportunities in the Camden Haven, by way of improving highway signage and harnessing future business opportunities via upcoming development in Area 14, between Bonny Hills and Lake Cathie.
"With an active chamber, a desirable location and future development on the horizon, you've got all the right ingredients for a strong economic future," Mr Barilaro said.
