THOUSANDS of people from across the Mid North Coast converged on Port Macquarie and surrounds at the weekend for one of the region’s premier calendar events.

The Beatles Festival has been hailed yet another success with perfect weather and enthusiastic crowds lapping up the spirit of the event.

Over four big days, music, dance and memorabilia turned heads and had feet tapping with Beatles fans enjoying a diverse selection of events across locations in Port Macquarie, Camden Haven and Wauchope.

Highlights of the event included a Psychedelic Dance Night at Laurieton United Servicemen’s Club, a Valentine’s Day breakfast, car show and markets, pin-up fashion parade and trivia night.

But the showstopper for the crowd were The Beatle Boys who delivered a rocking great show at Port Macquarie Panthers.

The foursome said Port Macquarie turned it on for the weekend and they have officially fallen in love with the area.
