Adam Rhook was selected for the NSW PSSA boys team and will leave for Cairns where the Championships will be held this week.
In the PMHHA local competition Adam plays in the U13, U16 and the senior men’s C Grade competitions and combined with his training, Adam can be found at the Port Macquarie hockey complex at least five times a week. His commitment and dedication to hockey has seen outstanding improvement in his talent and his selection in the NSW PSSA team is well deserved.
Blake Hudson has recently returned from chilly Tasmania, where he played in U18 Australian Championships for the NSW Blues, the team coming away with fifth place overall, an outstanding achievement.
Blake plays for the Camden Haven inaugural A Grade men’s side, the Anacondas, as well as playing in the Manning, Newcastle and Sydney competitions between his university commitments.
He began his hockey in the local PMHHA completion in the Port City junior competition, before joining Camden Haven when the club only had one registered B Grade men’s team in the local competition when he was just 12 years old.
Camden Haven Hockey Club is extremely proud of their two young NSW representative players, Adam and Blake, but the club’s representative junior successes don’t stop there.
The club has seen six U13 players achieve selection within the PMHHA representative teams.
Considering that this is only Camden Haven Hockey’s’ third year fielding teams in the junior competition, this is an awesome achievement. It shows the commitment of junior coordinator, Terry Rhook and his supportive coaching team.
In the recent U13 Girls State Championships in Wagga, Camden Haven had three girls playing for the Port Macquarie Hockey team, Teleah Gee, Evie Walker and Cate Linderman all played for the successful team, winning their division in the Championships.
