Port Panthers Rockin Retrofest 2016 on September 9-11 is shaping up to be a festival not to be missed.
This is a three-day nostalgia festival centred around rock and roll, rockabilly, bands, dancing, vintage pin ups, retro fashions and a whole host of retro market stalls.
Friday and Saturday night boast two great bands – The Zed 28’s and The Jive Bombers with DJ Jimmy Dee for two high energy dance parties. Saturday and Sunday feature three bands – The Voodoo Rhythm Shakers, Nightmoves & The Crew and DJ Jimmy Dee, all under the one roof in the auditorium at Port Macquarie Panthers.
As a special event this year’s festival will host Retro High Tea as part of the weekend entertainment.
High Tea will be served in the Rushcutters Room at Port Panthers from 11am-1.30pm on Saturday, September 10.
Our impeccable vintage pin ups will be parading for the judges selection panel and Miss Retrofest 2016, Miss Sapphire, Miss Pearl and our under 18s Miss Dolly will be selected, crowned and sashed.
Our national treasure Miss Rosa will accompany the runway fashion parade with her piano tunes of yesteryear. Miss Dale-Velvet Rose our local Vintage Pin Up Personality will be hosting this event. There are some great prizes on offer and our entries have come from far and wide to compete.
