The event at the Bonny Hills Community Hall on Wednesday was part of the CWA awareness week, called “More than just tea and scones”.
Around 100 people came through the hall to support the Bonny Hills branch.
On show were many of the award-winning crafts, education programs and, of course, baked treats and preserves which make the CWA a much-loved movement.
Members, said one of the event organisers Judith Hardy, bring a variety of skills and experience to the group. share their knowledge and work together to enhance their communities.
A big part of the CWA is to support community groups and all proceeds from the morning tea, around $650, will go to the Hastings Cancer Trust.
The trust supports local cancer patients and their families.
