‘Disco Inferno Show’ Live on stage
Friday November 11, Laurieton United Services Club
Tickets $50. Doors 8pm
Australia’s legendary Marcia Hines returns to the touring circuit following the successful theatrical season of the hit show “Velvet”.
The tour dates will stretch from June 2016 through to late January 2017 and the shows, inspired by the success of “Velvet”, is called: “Marcia’s Disco Inferno – Burn, baby burn!”
Filled with discotheque anthems this brand new, up tempo dance party extravaganza reunites Marcia with singers Ron E Jones, Chris Luder and percussionist/DJ Adam Morris in a Magnitude 10 evening of musical madness. The audience will be dancing from the first beat to the last encore.
This inspirational woman arrived in Australia in 1970 to star, at 16, in the musical “Hair”. Since then she has become a beloved and integral part of the Australian music and entertainment industry.
22 albums, 2.6 million sales, countless chart topping singles and multi-platinum albums. Marcia has constantly re-invented herself and in doing so set industry benchmarks. From Jesus Christ Superstar to Queen of Pop, to Australian Idol’s favourite judge for the seven years it was broadcast, inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007 and the Order Australia (AM) in 2009, Marcia continues to be ageless and inventive.
Her extraordinary career shows no sign of stopping. Her last studio album, “Amazing” has been followed by the soundtrack to “Velvet” and these days as the face of Foxtel’s Smooth television channel, the future for this extraordinary woman has never been brighter.
