Mrs Ferris has been playing tennis for more than five decades. She competed last month at the International Tennis Federation Seniors and Super Seniors World Titles.
She won a bronze medal in the ladies doubles with Joyce Rogers from Melbourne, while she made it to the final in the ladies singles, falling short but still bringing home silver.
The tournament ran from September 12 to September 25, capping off a massive two weeks for the Camden Haven sportsperson.
“It was a busy couple of weeks but it was a lot of fun,” she said.
“I have been playing tennis since I was a teenager and it has kept me very fit. I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.”
In the semi finals of the doubles, Mrs Ferris and Mrs Rogers lost 6-4, 6-2 while in the singles she went down 6-1, 6-1 to long-time powerhouse Inge Weber.
She said she does not plan on travelling overseas to compete in 2017, but will continue to play competition and social tennis in Lake Cathie and Port Macquarie.
