A cold front and trough will cause the storm which will be its heaviest just west of Taree.
From there, it will move up to Port Macquarie at around 5pm.
It is predicted that the storm will bring 20 to 30mm of rain.
On Thursday, October 20, showers are likely all day with approximately 5mm to fall across the Mid North Coast.
On Friday, October 21, strong north easterlies will pick up on the coast, close to 30 kilometres per hour, but not as strong inland.
There are also possible early evening showers in the afternoon.
Temperatures will sit at a minimum of 11 degrees and a maximum of 23 degrees on Thursday, minimum 12 degrees and maximum 26 degrees on Friday and minimum 13 and maximum 23 degrees on Saturday.
