New research has found that the top three segments in your neck, and how they move and function, are a major cause of headaches and migraines.
A special information night will be held at Rydges Port Macquarie on October 26 from 7.30pm.
People who attend the free night will walk away with a better understanding of what may be causing their problems and how to effectively treat them.
Limited seating is available and you are urged to call 6584 5379 to reserve a seat.
The Headache Clinic in Port Macquarie, headed by physiotherapists Dean Lawler and Mark Matherson, specialise in treatments of headaches and migraines.
Renowned headache specialist Dean Watson, who has headache clinics in Sydney and South Australia, exclusively taught both Mr Lawler and Mr Matherson his technique.
They start by assessing and treating the small movements of the upper cervical spine. The clinic does not apply any 'cracking' techniques, so there will be no high velocity manipulation involved.
The advanced methods comprise careful, passive movements being applied to the neck to restore normal movement directions without restriction.
Treatments at The Headache Clinic in Port Macquarie are the last port of call. If people have suffered for years, have MRI and CT scans, been on copious amounts of medication then this could be a solution.
“We have had patients from all over, even someone from New Zealand, treated using Dean Watson approach,” Mr Lawler said.
“We can tell within the first 20 minutes of an examination whether we can eradicate the problem.”
Since 2011 the clinic in Port Macquarie has treated over 700 people for headaches and migraines with an 80 percent success rate.
