The meeting will be held at 6.45am at Mercure Centro, Port Macquarie.
HBWN president Karen Archer said the AGM is a time to reflect on achievements over the past 12 months and vote for a leadership team who will continue to enrich and empower women of the Hastings region in 2017.
“We are proud to continue our tradition of supporting our local community and cancer charities during our AGM breakfast. A portion of the ticket price will be donated back to a devoted new not for profit organisation, If We All Had Wings,” Ms Archer said.
Keynote speaker, Skye Petho, will share her personal journey and how she and two dear friends created a way to make a positive impact within the community out of a negative situation like cancer by starting We All Had Wings.
Skye Petho, owner of Arthouse Industries and dedicated HBWN member, was diagnosed with breast cancer in January this year.
If We All Had Wings raises money to assist local families who are struggling to pay bills while undergoing cancer treatment. Since launching their first event in July of this year, over $10,000 has been raised to help 60 local families.
Members and guests attending the AGM are encouraged to wear pink in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Wings will be for sale the morning of the event for $10 or $50 with money being donated back to If We All Had Wings.
“It will be a special morning, as the network gathers together in support of local families who need financial support,” Ms Archer said.
Ticket for the AGM are $35 for members and $45 for guests which includes breakfast and a $5 donation to If We All Had Wings.
