Water Stories at the Library was a free story time and craft session at each local library.
Each year, National Water Week makes a splash across Australia inspiring individuals, communities and organisations to work together to build community awareness and understanding around water.
“The week-long celebration is filled with programs and activities to inspire the community to build awareness and understanding around water. It encourages and highlights to us all that if we want life and growth in the future, we need to make sure we use our water wisely today,” Port Macquarie-Hastings Council director Jeffery Sharp said.
“While the week is dedicated to encouraging communities to take action to protect our vital water sources, it’s also a celebration of innovation and water achievements that have and will contribute to Port Macquarie’s sustainable future and economic prosperity.”
