I thought you may wish to share these photos that I took on my walk this morning (last Thursday) in the Wall Reserve, near the corner of Edith Street and The Parade, North Haven.

This is why we need to preserve this important area, as the mature gums (and their under-storey) provide valuable nesting sites for a variety of birds and other native creatures.
Despite this, some people are not content with all the areas that have already been cleared, and will not rest until this small area of native habitat has been eradicated. Firstly an area was set alight, and now it seems someone is systematically poisoning areas of the native grasses!
