Other taxis in both NSW and Queensland will also feature the campaign’s banner.
In September this year, the NSW State Government announced a $1 million dollar reward for anyone who can help find Tyrrell.
Where's William campaign director Clare Collins said the signs on taxis covered from Sydney to the Central Coast, the Mid North Coast centres of Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour, and north to Brisbane.
General Manager of Port Macquarie Taxis, Steve Read confirmed several of their taxis carry ‘taxi back’ signs advising of the $1 million reward for information leading to the safe return of William Tyrrell.
“In NSW there are over 7000 taxis operating 24/7, they are very visible on our roads and provide a really effective way to gather attention for important causes,” he said.
“Not every taxi in the state carries these signs but I know plenty of taxis in the Mid North Coast are carrying the William Tyrrell signs.”
