Six Camden Haven organisations have been advised of their successful applications for the 2016 Community Building Partnership (CBP) grants program.
“The Community Building Partnerships grants directly benefit our community, often creating local jobs and increasing business opportunities while at the same time enhancing local investment in the Port Macquarie electorate,” Member for Port Macquarie, Leslie Williams said.
“I am delighted to announce that grants have been approved for a variety of projects across the electorate ranging from $3,000 for the Harrington Men’s Shed to $15,000 for the Lions Club of Tacking Point.
“My office has contacted all of the successful applicants so it was wonderful news for them to start the new year.
“Congratulates to all of the organisations and I wish them well with the projects they are delivering for their members and the wider community and I look forward to seeing them progress to completion,” Mrs Williams said.
Local projects to receive funding in the Camden Haven include;
- $8,020 Riding for the Disabled – Kendall Centre for the provision of a Shelter Shed for horses
- $14,580 Laurieton Swimming Club to replace the current starting blocks with FINA approved starting blocks
- $11,770 North Haven Public School P & C for timber bench seating
- $19,440 The Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism for Stage 2 of the iKew refurbishment of the male amenities block
- $10,000 Camden Haven Schools to Schools for a shared pathway
- $8,500 Lake Cathie Public School P & C to air condition the Library
The 2017 round of CBP applications will open in June.
