The town was placed at position 40 out of over 50 locations in NSW and Canberra from cheapest to most expensive, according to the NRMA’s Bowser Buster site.
The average price of Port Macquarie’s unleaded petrol for the week ending January 15 was 142.3.
It comes as the town was seventh cheapest to buy unleaded petrol for the week ending January 8, with an average price of 126.3.
Meanwhile Wauchope was placed at position 21 and had an average unleaded price of 137.5.
Taree had an average unleaded fuel price of 143 for the week ending January 15.
Kempsey was slightly cheaper with an average unleaded fuel price of 141.6
Leeton was the cheapest place to buy unleaded petrol for the week ending January 15, with an average price of 126.5.
Muswellbrook was the most expensive at position 57, with an average unleaded fuel price of 146.
For diesel Port Macquarie was placed at position 33 with an average price of 131.9, for the week ending January 15.
Meanwhile Wauchope was ranked at 29 and had an average price of 130.9.
