On December 30 a car crashed through the shop causing significant damage to stock, front and side windows of the store. Fortunately no one was injured, but for owner Wendy Dunn the cost of the crash was measured in her business missing out on the summer holiday peak.
It’s taken two months for the necessary insurance work to be completed, repairs done and new stock purchased.
“It’s taken so long, but that’s the process. I’m leaving that behind me now, and looking forward to serving customers once again,” Wendy said on Friday.
“My husband, Glenn, has been a wonderful support as have our friends, customers and other businesses in this little shopping centre by the lake. It’s a great little centre, come and check us out.
“It’s been lovely to open the doors and see the customers back. I’ve got plenty of stock and new stock is always arriving. We have a new range of jewellery and new clothing labels.”
