The Hastings River District Cricket Association grand final qualifier between Wauchope and Port Pirates was cancelled, setting up a Macquarie Hotel v Wauchope RSL grand final on March 25.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council officially closed all sporting fields for the weekend, meaning all HRDCA preliminary finals were cancelled.
This was after a moderate flood warning was issued for the Hastings on Friday afternoon. The highest placed teams in each grade will now progress to next weekend's grand final.
Port Macquarie Swimming Club were set to hold their club championship day on Saturday but that too was called off. Netball kids braved the drizzle until heavy rain fell later on in the morning and after lunch.
