Angel Flight co-ordinates non emergency medical flights to help country people trying to deal with the triple trouble of bad health, poor finances and daunting distance.
All flights are free and may involve patients travelling to medical facilities anywhere in Australia.
Angel Flight regularly co-ordinates up to 20 flights a day and has conducted over 20,000 flights transporting approx 60,000 patients, carers and family members.
Flights are conducted by volunteer pilots in their own aircraft. Once landed there are over 4,500 volunteers to provide car transportation between airports and medical facilities. Angel Flight receives no government funding and is totally funded by donations.
For a $5 donation come and enjoy the 'Why We Sing' concert of Laurieton Voices and at the same time contribute to the wonderful charity of Angel Flight. You will also enjoy a delicious afternoon tea. Raffle tickets will be available.
