Regional Operation Manager for NSW Marine Rescue Randall Gawne said the crew from Port Macquarie issued a mayday call at about 6.15pm.
Both Port Macquarie Marine Rescue and the NSW Police Marine Area Command were alerted by the skipper the boat, with two men and two women on board, was in trouble.
“We activated a Marine Rescue crew from Port Macquarie and the police attended the scene via Middle Rock Road,” Mr Gawne said.
“All four people on board managed to get to shore unharmed.”
The water conditions at the time were described as adverse.
Mr Gawne reinforced the importance for boaties to log on with Marine Rescue before heading out on the water and updating their positions regularly.
The owners of the boat will be responsible for its salvage.
