From Monday May 22 to Sunday May 29, all roads will lead to the Mid North Coast, as several thousand motorcycle enthusiasts, their friends and partners come to Wauchope Showground.
One of the highlights will be the Wauchope Motorcycle Street Festival in Hastings Street on Friday May 26 from 4pm to 7pm.
It’s been organised by Port Macquarie-Hastings Council and there will be cool bikes, great music, street food and a motorcycle display.
All bikes are welcome to join in the fun at the street festival.
Motorbike enthusiast Todd Taylor, who has organised charity events for the Black Dog Institute, is delighted that Ulysses AGM is coming to Wauchope.
“It’s great that all these people are coming into town. I’ve been spreading the word far and wide,” he said.
“The big attractions of Wauchope are the Oxley Highway, the weather, and the community being so motorcycle-friendly. We do advise people to be extra safe on the roads, because there will so many extra bikes around,” said Todd.
Nardia Stocks who manages Mean Choppers in Wauchope says the business, which has been here for 20 years, originally sold cars, but now 85% of their trade is in motorbikes.

“Motorbikes are a big thing in Wauchope. We have a lot of people coming into the area because of that,” she said.
“Wauchope in general offers a lot to all parts of the motorcycle community, and we are all very passionate about supporting that growth.”
Nardia says Ulysses will give Wauchope the opportunity to showcase what people here already know and to continually bring people back to events such as a new one planned for later this year.
Saturday November 18 will see the first Wauchope Moto Fest at the Showground.
Jenny Pursehouse from Motorcycle Friendly Wauchope and the Chamber of Commerce says it’s going to be a family friendly motorcycle event, and hopefully the first of many.
“There will be a show and shine, swap meet, buy and sell parts and bikes, lots of kids activities and a gymkhana at this one-day event.”
