Our wonderful community responded and here is a grateful reply from ROB herself:
Scissors are snipping, machine is whirring, fabric is connecting and I'm as busy as a bee. All this is thanks to the generosity of local hoarders who have passed on fabric treasures from their stashes to enable me to continue making "courage quilts".
Following an article in the Camden Haven Courier regarding my humble garage quilt making for those in need of comfort of quilts (having suffered abuse)
Several generous donations of fabric and wadding were left at the Courier office. These bags of fabric have enabled me to continue in my work. My new goal now is to complete 500 "courage quilts" to donate to those who need inspiration to face the challenges of abuse and move forward in life.
Gratitude is felt for all the locals who have encouraged me to continue with my work. Either through their helping with work or donations or a kind word of support.
Those who have suffered abuse will feel a little loving kindness of the Camden Haven.
Special thanks to Kate Dwyer for promoting this worthy cause.
ROB.
