The part time emergency care nurse and singer will tour and perform on the Drovers Run, the annual major fundraiser for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, from July 29 to August 11. Emma is a nurse at the Inverell District Hospital and has regular dealings with the rescue chopper.
“I can't tell you how many times I have been so relieved to see the big yellow angel land when we need it! By joining the Drovers Run I’m doing my part to help keep it in the air, and keep it saving lives,” Emma said.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service provides the community with a 24 hour, seven day a week aeromedical service that is free of charge to all who need it.
Emma is fitting out her trusty Triton ute with necessary off-road gear and is looking for business sponsors to join her tour by way of donating funds in return for marketing exposure during the tour.
She is donating her time to the cause, raising funds and performing at venues along the way from Brewarrina and Bourke to Wilpena Pound, Cameron’s Corner and many places between.
