Memory has been singing and performing from the age of six years. He has played in a lot of countries around the world, even travelling to Portugal for gigs.
In his home town of Hyde Magister, he played with a great band The Hollies, although he can hardly remember that and believes The Hollies would be in the same situation.
After arriving in Australia in 1967, he played in bands and was the lead singer in a band that won the MO award in 1980 – Roadapple, a bluegrass band.
His three children are all musicians. While his professional career is on hold, he has concentrated on singing for community events over the last few years.
There is an open mic event starting at 7pm. So get in early if you want to perform two numbers by putting your name on the board to secure your place. There are six places avaialble.
Kendall Community Hall doors open at 6.30pm, open stage from 7pm, followed by tea/coffee and nibbles provided and then Terry Memory’s performance.
Entry is by donation and Kendall Music Exchange operates as a not for profit community activity.
Looking back
What a great evening we had with Bloke’s Notes, their enthusiasm matched their skills, lovely harmonies, comedy and a varied programme of toe-tapping music, led by Leanne their talented leader.
Coming up
Make sure you note in your diary Friday August 4 when we welcome Jim and Sue ‘with friends’ as our main performers.
