For a few hours, Laurieton library created a dynamic space for youngsters to explore their creativity and transform themselves into superheroes.
For Sonny Stapleton, Jeremy Thompson and Gemma Fowler, the new dress up stand added to the regular weekly storytime session was like an early Christmas.
This terrific trio ensured readers who had found a quiet space at the library could enjoy their book without the threat of an evil intruder.
Branch librarian Cassie Rowsell said Wednesday storytime has become a space where children can immerse themselves in their own imagination.
“It is a great introduction to early literacy and is a nice introduction to the library for the kids as a fun place to be,” Cassie said.
A themed story is followed by a craft session and playtime at the library's fantastic outdoor area.
To join in the fun, be at the library 10:30am every Wednesday, excluding school holidays.
